Women Who Do Evangelism

"The Lord gave the word: great was the company of women that published it."

This page is dedicated to discuss women who do evangelism. I think we tend to look to men to do the hard work in the church, while women stay in the kitchen and change diapers (not that there is anything wrong with that!). The problem is that we stay in the kitchen, and it never enters our minds that we can be out there preaching the Gospel to people. We can go to the marketplace, mall, dry cleaners, pizza places, you name the place, and give out tracts and talk to people about the Gospel. We have the privilege to ask people the most important question in their lives; If you died today, are you 100% sure you would go to heaven? Most of us are in places where a lot of people don't go to, but, there are people there who need to be reached with the Gospel. Let's encourage women to share the Gospel and help them to see that they can be effective ministers of God's Word to people.

  3. Today I am thinking of one of the first women ever to do evangelism. She is known as 'The Woman at the Well'. We don't know her real name, but we know that she met Jesus, and without realizing it, she was involved in a conversation with the Son of God. He seemed to know a lot about her life, and in the conversation she learned a lot. She realized that God knew about her sinful past. She was so impressed and effected that she went out into the city to tell everyone about her encounter.

"The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and said to the men,

Come, see a man, which told me all things that I ever did: is not this the Christ?

Then they went out of the city, and came unto him."

We can do the same thing today. We have every reason to be doing this work together.

  4. I try to evangelize through my websites. I'm a stay-at-home mom... so I don't get out as much as I used to. This is one site where I have a gospel message: http://www.301pounds.com/

Another way, is that I try to help others evangelize by providing free printable tracts at this location: http://bananajackson.com/3.htm

  5. I love what you are doing Anna. I've been a stay at home mom for over 30 years now and I am so grateful to God for the internet to be able to communicate the message of the Gospel. I wish I could remember where I read this, but I read an article one time that told of a man who wanted to evangelize but couldn't get out of his home, so he prayed that God would send the people to his house. And God did. People started coming to his house because they needed directions and couldn't find the place they were going to. So he ended up with many opportunities to share the Gospel with people and didn't even have to leave his house! I hope to get outside more one day, but for now, the internet is great!
